Q. Is it safe ?
A. For humans and most pets, yes. For insects, fish and cats, no.
Humans are advised to wear safety glasses and gloves when spraying their gardens and it's also advisable to avoid the mist produced during the spraying. Once the product is applied, however, humans are safe. It is very rare to see permethrim absorbed through even the most sensitive skin.
Cats and fish on the other hand regularly have adverse reactions if exposed to high doses of permethrin.

Q. What countries use permethrin ?
A. It is very widely used in both First and Third world countries. Most people have used or seen products that contain permethrin, they just didn't know it was the active ingredient. A lot of dog flea shampoos contain permethrin. The leading monthly dog flea treatments contain permethrin too.
